Cleveland, OH — Mark C. Perna’s bestselling book Answering Why: Unleashing Passion, Purpose, and Performance in Younger Generations (Greenleaf, Sept. 18, 2018) has garnered additional awards in two recent award competitions. The book won two awards in the 2019 Independent Press Award (IPA) competition and three awards in the 13th Annual National Indie Excellence Awards (NIEA) competition.
Perna’s book was honored as an IPA Gold Winner in both the Career and Education categories. The IPA competition celebrates the best new books published by independent presses, giving them greater exposure in the book business across the nation.
Answering Why won multiple awards in the 13th annual National Indie Excellence Awards, as a Winner in the categories of Business Motivational and Parenting & Family. The book was also recognized as a Finalist in NIEA’s Career category. NIEA exists to champion self-publishing and small independent presses going the extra mile to produce books of excellence in every aspect.
Author Mark Perna is founder and CEO of TFS, a strategic consulting firm dedicated to making a difference in education and workforce development. Answering Why, which was also recognized in the recent IPPY and Nautilus awards, was written to help parents, educators, and employers interact more effectively with today’s younger generations. It also addresses the skills gap crisis in our young workforce and offers more productive strategies to train and motivate Millennials and Generation Z.
Perna echoes the sentiments he expressed last month when Answering Why was recognized in the IPPY and Nautilus awards. “Once again, I’m humbled by the awards that Answering Why is receiving. It’s my hope that this recognition will further the book’s mission of making a positive difference for the different generations interacting today in the home, classroom, and workplace.”
